In 2016, Benjamin was the second-most awarded creative director in the world, according to the Directory Big Won Rankings. Looking at that one would never guess his first internship was at a financial consultant firm. But Benjamin is a creative with a different sort of background.
With a degree in business administration, 20 years ago he was working in the marketing department at Unilever. The days he met with the advertising agency, though, were his favorites by far. That's when he decided to take a seat on the other side of the table.
Since then, he has served as art director at multiple agencies in Brazil and abroad, was Executive Creative Director at FCB Brasil, and was with AlmapBBDO for five years before joining forces with other great creative minds to open SUNO United Creators.
Over the course of his career, he's accumulated awards at the world's most important creative festivals, having brought home over 50 Cannes Lions and been honored at the D&AD, One Show, Clio Awards, Art Director's Club, Andy Awards, London Festival and New York Festival, Effie Awards, among others.
He was one of the creators of the "Kombi Last Wishes" campaign for Volkswagen in 2014, one of the few cases in the world that managed to win Gold at Cannes and Gold at the Effie Awards, according to the Gunn Report, and which was named among the top 10 most-lauded integrated campaigns.
But what gave him most cause for celebration last year was the birth of his second son.
