Dany Minaker was appointed as Wunderman Thompson Latin America’s Chief Creative Officer together with Patán Tarazaga in October 2020.
As the Co-Chief Creative Officer of Latam, Dany is responsible for delivering clients with a creative service as well as continue raising the creative bar for works in the Latin American market, which comprises Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and Peru.
Along his career, Dany created local, regional and global campaigns for different clients such as Movistar, Tuenti, Microsoft, United Airlines, Nike, Coca-Cola Company, Ambev, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Pepsico, Kraft, Disney, Cencosud and Mercado Libre.
In September 2015, Dany and Patán joined Wunderman Buenos Aires, Argentina’s number 1 digital agency according to AgencyScope, as General Creative Directors. A year later, Wunderman BA was recognized as the best office in the network and the most renowned and awarded digital agency in Argentina. Only in 2018, it was awarded with 75 international awards. During 2019 and 2020, they were part of the team that led the merger between Wunderman and Thompson in Latin American offices.
Before joining Wunderman Thompson, Dany worked for BBDO as Interactive Creative Director. Before that, he was part of the creative team of Vega Olmos Ponce (Lowe), Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy Argentina.
His work has been recognized in the most important festivals in the world, including: Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, EFFIE Awards, D&AD, NY Festival, Isaac Awards, One Show, LIA, Sol Festival, Smarties, EPICA Awards, IAB, Webby Awards, FWA, ANDY, FIAP, Wave, Ojo de Iberoamérica, El Diente e IAB +DIGITAL, among others. He also got 6 Grand Prix.
In addition, Dany is a speaker in the Latin digital creative market. His last talks were in Cannes Lions, IAB, MMA and El Ojo de Iberoamérica. He was also a member of important panels in festivals such as Cannes Lions 2019, London International Awards 2019, Adweek’s Project Isaac Awards 2018, El Ojo de iberoamérica 2018, NY Festival 2019, Lisbon Festival 2018, IAB2017, ECHO Awards2018 and Diente (Creative Circle of Argentina).
In October 2020, Dany was recognized as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in the advertising industry by The CreativePool.
Dany has a postgraduate degree in Advertising, Digital Creativity and Art Direction. He lives in Buenos Aires with his wife, Jimena, and his two sons, Thiago and Tomás.
