My name is Nicola Manfredi and I am a landscape photographer from Rovereto, specialized in
mountain photography. For years I have dedicated my work to the visual documentation of the
Alps, with particular attention to the Dolomites, which I consider not only my home, but also one
of the most extraordinary expressions of the European mountain landscape.
Some of my works have already been exhibited in international contexts – including Rome, Paris,
New York and India – within collective exhibitions. Today, I wish to create a personal exhibition,
entirely dedicated to the Alpine world, gathering images taken in different areas of the Alpine arc.
The intent is to tell the story of the mountains in a broad and profound way, highlighting their
multiple landscape and seasonal identities. I believe that an exhibition of this kind can dialogue
well with the international vocation of museums, offering an authentic and visually powerful view
of one of Europe's most significant natural heritages.
My approach to photography is not documentary: I try to tell the story of the mountains through
the emotions they evoke, capturing their power, silence, light and solemnity. Each image is born
from the desire to imprint my inner vision of the landscape, transforming the mountain
experience into a visual narrative.
