Bev earned her degree in Fine Art from colleges in the United States after which she travelled extensively for work and pleasure. She lived and worked in Hong Kong and Europe for ten years as a designer in corporate investment banking publishing. Photography became her passion as she backpacked over the back roads of Asia and Europe during her spare time with a simple Minolta film camera.
Upon returning to the United States in 1999 she settled on a small ranch with her family in Northern Arizona where she lives today with her horses, cats and dogs. Surrounded by miles of remote ranch lands she has the opportunity now to photograph full time. Her subjects (nature, horses and working cowboys) are within easy reach, just outside her back door.
Over the years Bev has developed an art style evoking emotion through her subjects and an ability to connect with them on a personal level. Bev’s yearning to capture the essence of wild horses in their natural state has taken her to some of the most remote locations in western USA and Canada.
Bev's photography has been shown in art exhibits worldwide and has received multiple awards in the most prestigious international art competitions. She enjoys finding the perfect piece of art to adorn the walls of a private home and loves to collaborate with interior designers on commercial projects. A portion of the proceeds from her photography sales goes to charity organizations that help animals and people in need.
