"March 2016: After watching the Oscar nominated documentary: Cartel Land, we decided the Arizona Border Recon would be a good subject for a portrait series. After several communications, the group approved our visit under the guideline that we remain objective and we stay out of their way. We drove from Los Angeles to Tucson, spent the night and met them at their camp, just 100 yards from the U.S. / Mexico border. Within minutes of meeting the founder / man in charge, we found ourselves in his Ford pick-up on the way to an "operation in progress." It was surreal in that it was the same point of view from witch the director of Cartel Land told the story that I watched just a few days prior. Tim "nailer" Foley ~ Arizona Border Recon (A.B.R.)"
