"Just around the corner of my house (near Amsterdam), there is this appartment building located next to large pond. Whenever I pass, I admire its long balcony shadows on the terracotta plastered wall, which has a Mediterranean feel.\r\nTo make this aspect the main subject, I duplicated the surface so the rhythmic impression is more prominent, just like the reflections continue the vertical lines of the building structure. The building is entitled De Muzen (the Muses), which I used also as an element for the title."
