"The photo series “Spoon + Fork + Knife = Flowers” represents my creative approach to modern still-life photography. To reach my goal, I used simple methods for capturing shapes and representing them in images. This series is centered around the single, simple idea: Use plastic objects to create beauty, or recycle them. \r\nOne kilo of plastic waste can be recycled into 800 grams of secondary raw material, which can be used to make a variety of things, such as fabrics, artificial wool, carpets, heat insulation, or toy filling materials. \r\nPlastics were invented over 50 years ago, and today, huge amounts of plastic products are produced and thrown away every single day. As a result, more and more landfills appear around the world, and islands made of plastic waste emerge in our oceans and seas. Plastic pollution harms animals, birds, fish and humans. Plastics are slow to decompose. This process takes at least 400 to 500 years."
