"In Mt. Asahi (Hokkaido), Geum pentapetalum blooms for only a few week. By using a fisheye wide-angle lens, I added depth to the photograph. The flowers that bloom from the front to the back guide the line of sight to Mt. Asahi. It is a shot aimed at the timing of flowering, fine weather, and the sun at a low position. I applied the Orton effect only to the flower fields to emphasize it. I desaturated the sky to make it relatively less noticeable."
