"I booked a trip to Nevada to visit the Valley of Fire just to get this shot. I scouted the location early in the morning, knowing I would return at dusk to get some shots. I picked out my spot and got there early to avoid competing with other photographers. As I was composing the photo, a mountain goat hopped up on a rock right in front of me as if to pose for the shot. He was there just long enough for me to get him in focus."
