"This is a straight photo. Done in 1977. No Photoshop. Flightless Bird. I painted him to width of about 7 feet. Glued him to a piece of plywood and then jigsawed out his silhouette. I carried him on the subway and then walked about a mile to find this colorful location at the Bronx Botanical Gardens. ""
