"This image is the result of a series of photographs of a subway station in Amsterdam. At first I admired the reflection on the stairs. To get the right angle I ended up taking the photos through a window looking down onto the stairs. I combined several photos into one highlighting three people walking down the stairs. The title is a play of words from the French words descendre (meaning: going down) and descendance (meaning heritage)."
