"image part of the series Impermanent Sculptures The impermanency of things and the manifestation of life and of fantasy in this planet were the focus from which this photographic series was though. Or maybe it was from something prior to life itself, rather an impulse, a primordial force… something that was always present through the myths and beliefs of human kind, and that will endure even after we return to the apparent sterile soil as found on the surface of Mars. The series is the result of several years of research on long exposure photography. While some images are acquired in one single exposure, some others are composed by the process of overlaying bits of light paintings from two or more pictures. Apart from this process and some color and contrast adjustments, the result is basically untouched, conceived entirely from real performance with fireworks and flashlight."
