"This is a shoot of steam coming from the power plant Reykjanesvrkjun the jeep was just there for me when I saw this shoot. Reykjanesvirkjun began electrical energy production into the distribution system of the country in May 2006. The total power generated by the plant today is around 100 MW, and the power for the plant is taken from 12 boreholes of the 15 that have been drilled in the surrounding area. Subterranean steam has been utilized for the industry and electrical power production in Reykjanes for a sustained period of time thus immense knowledge about it has been unlocked, but the steam utilized is very mineral rich and causes a lot of precipitation Almost all of the production of the plant is sold to Norðurál in Hvalfirði."
