My name is Giorgio Cravero and I’m a photographer. I was born in 1970s Turin and Turin is the city where I live, where I have my Studio and the people I care for the most. After attending Istituto Europeo di Design I started on my career path by focusing on architectural and still life photography, two areas that tally with my personality, prone to reflect and attentive to detail. If I had to sum up my professional journey so far, I would use the words “search” and “beauty”. What I’ve been doing over time, in fact, is endeavouring to combine techniques and visions with the sole aim of getting across my way of perceiving objects, shapes and materials, inscribing everything in a visual and emotional horizon entirely inspired by beauty and the pursuit of proportion. In 2016 I had the honour and the pleasure of receiving the Hasselblad Master Award in the Product section, and this was a further stimulus for my professional growth. I got into video production and set up a team of extremely capable people: this choice enabled me to renew – once again – my studio, creating a structure that can handle any project, in every aspect, from creativity to production and postproduction. What drives me and the people I work with is care: “your image, my care”. I am persuaded that caring about what you do helps you tell a more authentic, more conscious story: your story! Besides photography, I have other passions: literature, good wine and good food, travelling, TV series, relaxing on the couch, dogs, horses, constructing toys that often end up in my photography sets, contemplating nature silently and respectfully.
