Photo art has always been a language to me— and Photoshop has become a vital tool to shape the worlds that emerge in my mind. I’m drawn to that delicate boundary where reality begins to blur, quietly tipping into the surreal. A space where warmth and weight of the real world still linger— even as we step into imagination, there’s a sense that one foot remains grounded. It is in that in-between space that my works are born. If my images can quietly speak to someone’s heart, resonate with their memories or inner emotions, then I know that my vision has truly reached them. I was born in 1970 in Hyogo, Japan. My passion for photography began when I saw the work of a close friend who used a DSLR camera. Later, I discovered the power of Photoshop’s layer function, which opened up endless possibilities in photographic expression. That discovery inspired me to begin creating fine art photo manipulations. In 2015, I volunteered in a photo restoration project, using my Photoshop skills to digitally repair photographs damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake. It deepened my belief in the power of photography—not just as documentation, but as memory itself. In 2017, I was honored to be selected as a representative for Japan at the World Photographic Cup. In both 2022 and 2023, I was fortunate to receive silver medals at the same competition.
