‘Which city do you prefer more? Shanghai or Hong Kong?’ To me, this is the hardest question in the world. One is my beloved hometown, in which I spent the largest portion of my childhood and started my career in advertising. One is the place I lived for long time and where I created my own family.Without any one of them, I could never be the person who I am today.
I was born and grew up in Shanghai. After my 5 years career as a mandarin copywriter with DDB Shanghai, I moved to Hong Kong and worked with Leo Burnett for FMCG brand Rejoice and feminine brand Whisper and some local accounts such as Nin Jiom, Hang Seng Bank, Harmony House etc. In late 2015, I joined Cheil Hong Kong and was in charge of both multinational & local blue chip clients i.e. Samsung, Samsonite, American Tourister, Califonia Almond, 1O1O, MTR and many more. During my advertising career, luckily my work has been recognised by all the major global , regional and local creative award shows, including: Cannes Lions, D&AD, One show, London International Awards, CLIO, New York Festivals, Spikes Asia, ADFEST, Ad Stars, Kam Fan and LongXi Awards. Most notably, my JBL noise cancelling campaigns were instrumental in making Cheil Hong Kong the #1 hottest Hong Kong agency by Campaign magazine, also winning Agency Of The Year' at Spikes Asia 2017 and 'Regional Agency Of The Year' at both London International Awards 2017 and New York Festivals 2018.Meanwhile, I achieved the #4 most awarded creative in Hong Kong.
I has also been invited as jury member at several international and local advertising award shows, including D&AD Awards, the One Show, New York Festival, Spikes Asia, ADC awards, Citra Pariwara awards and Kam Fan Student’s Award and MTR Advertising Awards.
