I have three passions: medicine, photography and adventures. I started photographing when I was a teenager, a few decades ago. Black and white times and many hours inside the dark room under the red lamp. I learned how to use flash and print as an assistant to the club photographer. I had a lab at home. Loved walking around downtown São Paulo to take pictures, visit equipment stores and discover new filters and papers for printing. College absorbed me and I changed media, always cultivating my artist soul. I went through drawing, painting, engraving, martial arts, a little dance and photography was in the background. I did athletics and took my Pentax Sptomatic to photograph the competitions. I did the same photographing dance shows. By that time, I already really liked the effects of light in the long exposure. Always in black and white. Color photography was expensive! In the 2000s I managed to buy a Nikon Cool Pix L11 that accompanied me on several trips in Brazil and Latin America. Then came cell phones. Models became more and more effective and replaced the compact camera when traveling. Last year I unpacked a Nikon D600 that I got as a gift. Profession stuff. Then came the spectacular mirrorless Z6 ii. I started attending several workshops, reading and the main thing: photographing. Every day. Unlike framing and pressing the cell phone button, the DSLR forces us to think - if you want to, of course. The passion for capturing light is growing, leading us to look for new lenses and equipment, and discover new places and subjects to photograph. Travel brings many exchanges and contacts with interesting and different people. It is an immense pleasure to wake up in the dark and, still fasting, get together with friends to capture the sunrise, or spend the night focusing on capturing the Milky Way. I continue with the profession of doctor and discovered a new meaning to plan for the future: photos and trips. Nature became a guide. Photography, a compass.
