Hello my name is Nancy and I’m a Portrait photographer living in Melbourne Australia.
I am a Master Photographer with WPPI, an Associate member of the AIPP, NZIPP, The Society of Photographers, The Portrait Masters and WPE. I was also named AIPP Victorian Family Photographer of the year 2019
From an early age my world has been involved in the Arts one way or another. Cutting my teeth on stage in vaudeville fashion at the age of three and spoon fed the glamour of old black & white movies, my passions were cemented in the world of Art and Culture.
As a teenager during the 1970’s I studied Classical Ballet at The Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne and It was at this unique school where I was first introduced to photography, and the darkroom process. I developed a passion for photography from then on.
Today I draw on a life time of artistic mediums which greatly influence the images I create, and the use of props and costumes plays a huge part in developing a theatrical look to my images. I am obsessed with the concept of past lives and who we might have been in a previous life, so my images for me are like little snippets of times past. The images I create capture a whimsical style of a bygone age with a touch of fantasy & old world charm.
