"This photo is a part of the project \'Pieces of America\' by artist Martin Martensen-Larsen and photographer Zarko Ivetic. \r\n\r\nJoshua Nowlan (on the photo) is 38 years old. He was shot in 2012 during a mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. 12 died and 70 were injured. Joshua lost his leg.\r\n \r\nThe project portraits three victims of gun violence from Kansas, Colorado and Pennsylvania. They all lost a part of their body because of gun violence. \r\n\r\nThe projects asks: Does the right to bear arms collied with the right to a full body?"
