Anirban Ganguly (b. 1969) is an avid amateur photographer based in Kolkata. His initiation into photography happened early, primarily from his love for Indian wildlife. Anirban was a thorough jungle-man then. During editing a very popular regional magazine on travel for nearly two decades Anirban turned the course of his passion to Travel Photography, in general, or, to be more precise, to freezing life flowing on the streets. Many famous, queer and bizarre destinations within India besides, Anirban traveled extensively in Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Borneo, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand to express his passionate political philosophy through his photographs. His works have been awarded many times in International Contests, and he has earned an Associate Membership of International Federation of Photographic Art. Anirban has also written a widely acclaimed book on his search for the cult centered upon Joseph Stalin in contemporary Russia, Georgia, Armenia.
