"Flowers of the Fairies\r\n\r\nPrimroses were Shakespeares favourite flowers.\r\n\r\nThey are known as the flowers of fairies and folklore - they represent eternal love, youth, femininity, birth, superstition. a symbol of protection and safety.\r\n\r\nIn Irish folklore Primroses in doorways protected the home from fairies. They have been associated with fairies, healing properties and symbolic meanings for centuries.\r\nThere are many legends and myths about primroses. According to a Scottish legend, if you want to see a fairy, you must eat a primrose. Leaving primroses on your doorstep will ensure fairies will bless your house, and putting primroses in a cowshed will convince them not to steal the milk. Celtic Druids believed the flower helped ward off evil spirits and could connect us with the fairies.\r\n\r\nSeeing a large patch of Primroses can indicate a portal to the fairie realm is nearby. Apparently fairies love to dance amongst Primroses at night and they will blees anyone who respects their flowers."
