"Balcony Play"

"This is a hotel, very close to the North Sea near The Hague. Although it originally is a simple white building, in 2017 its balconies were temporarily painted in primary colours to commemorate the centennary of De Stijl. This is a movement of art, architecture and design to which also Mondrian belonged. Because of this change the hotel facade was turned into a fascinating 3 dimensional sculpture. To add the human scale to the composition I waited untill someone appeared on one of the balconies."
