Kapil is a Creative Director at Leo Burnett, Dubai. He is currently working on the McDonald’s business for 17 markets across MEA.
Kapil has an Advertising career of over 16 years which started in Mumbai in 2004. After graduating in BFA (Applied arts) from University of Mumbai, Kapil worked there for over 4 years, before moving to Dubai in 2008. He has worked with agencies like Leo Burnett India, Mullen Lowe Dubai and VMLY&R Dubai (Cannes lions agency of the decade 2010-2020).
Kapil’s work has been awarded at various shows like the D&AD, Cannes Lions, One Show, Andy awards, Clio, New York Festivals, LIA, Dubai lynx, Loeries, Adfest Asia Pacific etc.
He was on the Cannes Lions jury (Direct lions) in 2018 and was also invited to judge Lisbon Advertising Awards in 2019.
Kapil is also an artist, stripping the world of colors is not an idea generally espoused by artists. And yet, this is exactly he does, he has been carving a niche for himself with his quirky illustrations across wall murals and street art. Not only is it black and white with a dash of color thrown in occasionally, Kapil uses elements from his surroundings to establish a connection between his work and the environment. Kapil also conducts art and illustration workshops.
He owns the Dubai based design brand K100. And recently he was offered the prestigious Golden Visa by the UAE government, for his contribution in the field of Art & Culture.
