I remember my first day in advertising, sitting wide-eyed in the lobby of Lowe Cape Town, the ECD walked up to me and said "I don't care who the you are, just make me remember you... Dance in the fountain naked or do great work. Whatever it is, just make me remember you". I've done a lot of dancing over the years, but I hope to be remembered for the latter.
I love big, dumb simple ideas that reach across media channels. I been doing this as an Art Director, Creative Director and eventually a Group Creative Director for past 20 years, so I've seen a few things in my time. I believe great creative is great for business. Duh. This is evident having won at all the major creative award shows as well as having garnered numerous effectiveness awards. Currently I'm having fun working at VML and working on the Wendy's account.
